| IDHA is a chartered constituent association of the American Dental Hygienists' Associations and the organization that represents the profession of dental hygiene in the State of Illinois. Membership is based on National, State and Local levels. The American Dental Hygienists' Association is the largest professional organization that represents the interests of dental hygienists and has a vast pool of resources to meet your needs. What are the benefits of joining ? Security – Through membership, you will help to secure a future for dental hygiene. We are a strong, united organization that guides the development of dental hygiene practice and helps enhance and protect your status as an oral health care provider. ADHA/IDHA is working to protect the value of your educational credentials and to preserve the integrity of your license. Only through uniting in one voice can ADHA/IDHA continue to represent the dental hygienist effectively. Access to Information – Members receive a subscription to the Hygiene Herald, IDHA official publication which keeps you up to date with importatn issues, past and current events at the national, state and local level; Journal of Dental Hygiene, ADHA’s official publication that brings you scientific and technical articles on clinical practice, research, and education. In addition, members receive the association’s magazine. Access, that helps you stay on top of the issues that are important to dental hygiene. Continuing Education – Membership offers you a discounts on continuing education through self-study courses, ADHA Annual Session, IDHA Annual Session, IDHA MidWinter Meeting and all Component continuing education courses. Professional Contacts – As part of your dues, you automatically become a member of your state Constituent and local Component organizations.
